Identifai’s AI powered technology enables early detection of any genetic disorder, including point mutations, in a simple, affordable, and risk free manner.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing bioinformatics algorithmic solutions for the analysis and interpretation of whole genome sequencing data from Non Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT) samples. You will work closely with our team of biologists and data scientists to identify and characterise genetic variations associated with different fetal genetic disorders. You will also contribute to the development of new NIPT products and the optimisation of existing pipelines through the analysis of large scale genomic data sets.

Open Position
Software Engineer
📍 Ramat HaChayal, Tel Aviv 🏢 Hybrid (3 days in office)
About the Role
You’ll be one of the first dedicated software engineering hires, working closely with the Head of Engineering and our R&D team. This isn’t a ticket factory job. You’ll have real ownership over systems that matter.
Day to Day
- • Productionise research pipelines: take what our bioinformatics team has built and make it robust, testable, and deployable
- • Build and operate data pipelines that process large scale genomics datasets end to end
- • Own cloud infrastructure on AWS: containerised workloads (ECS, Docker), CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- • Ship product features: own requirements, iterate fast, and get things into users’ hands
- • Set the standard for code quality, security, and compliance as we scale toward a regulated product launch
- • Use AI tools effectively to accelerate your own work and raise the bar for the team
- • Make real technical decisions: architecture, tooling, trade offs. Not just attend meetings about them
Qualifications
- • 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a fast paced environment where you had to figure things out
- • Strong Python and experience with data intensive applications
- • Cloud native mindset. AWS preferred, comfortable with Docker, container orchestration, and modern DevOps
- • End to end ownership. You can take a problem from “we need this” to “it’s running in production”
- • Clear communicator who works well across functions (you’ll be collaborating daily with bioinformaticians and data scientists)
- • High standards for reliability, security, and performance. We’re building for healthcare
Nice to Have
- • Startup experience, especially building products from zero to one
- • Background in bioinformatics, genomics, or health data (not essential; curiosity and fast learning count for more)
- • Experience with regulatory or compliance sensitive environments
Why Join Now?
| Genuine impact Our product will directly improve prenatal healthcare for families. | Early team, real influence You’ll shape technical direction, not inherit it. |
| Visible work Small team, no layers. Your contributions matter from day one. | Growth window We’re scaling fast toward launch. This is the formative period. |
